Race report VR2010: The cup of coffee that saved the 300Km bike race!

The biggest (and probably toughest) race of 2010 is now completed. With success!

It was almost a year ago when Mrs K and I decided to register to Vätternrundan. The biggest recreational bike ride in the world (approximately 20,000 participants). As I wrote back then, it was a big commitment. But we never lost focus and we fulfilled our goal. In 12hrs and 55minutes...

The race start and finish was at Motala, a 3.5hrs ride from Uddevalla.

We arrived there around 17.00, and after finding the apartment we had rented, we biked to the registration area.

Despite the large crowds, it didn't took long to get our envelops with registration numbers and time chips. After that we decided to 'save our legs' and not spend time at the expo area or around the city. We headed back home instead where I watched a disappointing England-Armenia match and Mrs K got some extra rest.
